A story 130 years long.....
In the heart of Florence
When you go to Borgo degli Albizi, you can not miss the small door at number 86/r that leads into the fabulous old shop of paper and cardboard Marzotto. The activity is from more than a century at the ground floor of the Palazzo Ramirez de Montalvo, built in 1558 and is characterized by a façade decorated by affrescatore fiorentino, Bernardino Poccetti, on the design of the famous Vasari. The coat of arms of the Medici triumphed on the façade of the magnificent Palace, and invite the tourists to the visit to the local: the wonderful environments that are typical of the ‘500, such as the vaulted hall, the portal, breccia medicea and the floors in stone and brick. Marzotto is still using some tools from work to the original: a small scale in the 1870s, a cutter of 1914, and a safety deposit box in the viennese cast of the early dell’800.
